After having breakfast at your accommodation, prepare yourself for a day full of excitement as we'll visit the Crocodile Lagoon, home to a significant population of freshwater Siamese crocodiles. From the HQ, hop on the bike and glide our way through the jungle to reach the starting point of the trekking route, which offers you many opportunities to encounter a variety of wildlife, including gibbons, langurs, and various bird species. The trail is also home to some snakes, mosquitoes, and terrestrial leeches, particularly during the rainy season, so appropriate clothing and bug spray are recommended.
After about an hour of trekking, you'll arrive at Crocodile Lagoon also known as "Bau Sau". This lagoon is a significant part of the park's ecosystem and is surrounded by a serene, almost eerie silence, occasionally broken by the sounds of wildlife. The lake itself is vast, especially during the rainy season, when it spans around 2,500 hectares. Near the lake, a ranger station provides an excellent vantage point for observing the resident Siamese crocodiles. These crocodiles are best seen early in the morning or late in the afternoon. If conditions allow, you can take a boat ride to get a closer look at these prehistoric creatures. The ranger station is also a perfect spot for photography, offering stunning views of the lake and its wildlife. Delicious lunch will be prepared by the skillful rangers with fresh ingredients they harvested in the jungle. In the afternoon, after spending time at the lake you will trek back to the starting point where we parked our bikes. Take a leisure ride back to the park's HQ then return to your accommodation to rest and have dinner, conclude an amazing day.
