Itinerary

Full Patagonia Adventure (21 nights)

Day 1: Buenos Aires

Arrival in Buenos Aires. Private transfer from Ezeiza International Airport. Check in at selected accommodation.

Day 2: Buenos Aires

Breakfast. At 09:00, Buenos Aires City Tour.
You will discover the beauty and wonders of Buenos Aires city, viewing the National Congress, the Metropolitan Cathedral next to the Government House in May Square area among other important buildings. You will catch a glimpse of the Colon Theater, one of the most important opera houses in Latin America and San Telmo, traditional neighborhood where Tango performances can be seen in many bars and restaurants. There is an important stop at La Boca colorful neighborhood, which was seat of immigrants - mainly Italians - and now home of some artists.

Enjoy Palermo, an area that combines its architecture and history with entertainment and amusement in its green spaces. Finally, La Recoleta, an exclusive and elegant neighborhood where the famous cemetery is found.

Alternative at no extra cost: Buenos Aires Bike Tour. If you want a more active tour to discover the corners of Buenos Aires with a small group and pedal your way along the city streets, the bike tour is your choice.

Important: Make your choice (either Buenos Aires City Tour OR Buenos Aires Bike Tour) when booking because if you wait until last minute you might not have the spaces for a change.

Day 3: Buenos Aires-Puerto Madryn

Breakfast and check out at 11:00. In the evening, departure to Puerto Madryn by night bus.

Day 4: Puerto Madryn

Arrival at Puerto Madryn. Check in at selected accommodation. Free day.

Day 5: Puerto Madryn

Breakfast. At 07:30, Península Valdés Full Day Tour:
During this full day tour you will be accompanied by naturists and bilingual guides.

The first stop will be the Carlos Ameghino Isthmus Interpretation Center, where you can have fast references on fauna, flora and geology of the Peninsula. Also you will enjoy the panoramic view that the "Golfo Nuevo", "San Jose" and the "Isla de los Pajaros" will let us observe. Another stop is the village of "Puerto Pirámide". Continuing on the gravel road, and subject to the season, the climate or the tides, you will visit in different order or combined with other stops: "Caleta Valdés", "Punta Cantor" and "Punta Norte" to observe Marine Elephants, Penguins and Marine Lions. The Orcinus or ill-named "Killer Whales" can be watch from the seaside at "Punta Norte". The best months to see them are in March and in April. Also during September in the "Caleta Valdés" (with a bit less frequency). Back to Puerto Madryn.

The tour does not include the entrance fee to National Park.

Day 6: Puerto Madryn (Optional Punta Tombo Penguin Colony Tour)

Breakfast. At 07:30, optional tour to Punta Tombo penguin colony (runs from 1 November until 20 March - extra payment to be paid locally). In this tour you will visit the most important Latin American continental "Pingüinera" or Penguin Colony (where hundred of thousands of Penguins lays their eggs in the beach). The first stop will be at "Rawson" port, in the "Union" beach to observe the "Toninas Overas" (Optional Tour). After that, you will move towards Punta Tombo, geographic feature that serves as a habitat of the "Magallanes" Penguin. There, you will have time to observe how the Gulls, "Skuas", "Petrels", Cormorans, Oystercatchers and Steam Duck cohabit in the coast. Due to a big extension area, you will also observe steppe characteristic species like "Guanacos" (typical American camaelidae), "Choiques" (small ostriches), "Maras" (big Patagonian hares) and Foxes. You will visit the small town of Gaiman, to admire its culture and the very particular architecture, also to taste a delicious piece of cake at a Welsh Tea House (optional).

Day 7: Puerto Madryn-Rio Gallegos

Breakfast. Check uut. In the afternoon, bus station drop off and departure to Rio Gallegos by night bus. (13:05)

Day 8: Rio Gallegos-Ushuaia

In the early morning, arrival in Rio Gallegos. Connecting bus to Ushuaia. Arrival in Ushuaia at 19:30. Check in at selected accommodation.

Day 9: Ushuaia

Breakfast. At 09:00, Half Day Tour to Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego:
Get ready to walk along thousand-year-old paths in the only Argentine National Park that combines sea, mountains and forests. Everything right there in front of your eyes.
The list is truly moving: Lapataia Bay, the coast of the Beagle Channel, the most incredible flora and fauna with red foxes, woodpeckers, steamer ducks, condors, eagles, beaver dams and peat bogs, all rubbing shoulders in the most spectacular setting. Here you get right into this beautiful region and you experience it right up close. Back to Ushuaia at about 14:00.

Day 10: Ushuaia

Breakfast. At 09:00 Sea Lion Colony Half Day Boat Trip:
You will leave the local port, in the direction of Alice Island to see the colony of sea lions, then you continue to the Birds Island where the king and imperial cormorants inhabit. Nearby, you will enjoy the view of the Rock Cormorants on the cliffs. Then, you navigate towards the Sea Lions Island to see them and also fur seals. Finally, you find Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, which was made in 1919 and it´s the actual symbol of the city. Return to Ushuaia.

Day 11: Ushuaia-Rio Gallegos-Calafate

Check out. In the early morning, (05:00) bus heading to Rio Gallegos. Arriving in Rio Gallegos in the afternoon/evening. Change of bus in direction El Calafate. Arrival in El Calafate at night. Check in at selected accommodation.

Day 12: Calafate

Breakfast. Between 07:00-09:00 depending on season, Perito Moreno Glacier Full Day Tour:
People from all over the world come to this remote place in Southern Patagonia to be a witness of the Ice Age. This is one of the only moving glaciers in the planet, and a visit is not only worth, is a MUST. You start from El Calafate early in the morning to enjoy the landscape, the nature, the fauna and the wide variety of birds (trying to arrive to the glacier before everyone). Through the gateways you visit the north face of the Perito Moreno Glacier, in different viewpoints from different altitudes.

Day 13: Calafate

Breakfast. At about 05:30, Torres del Paine Full Day Tour:
The tour starts from El Calafate. You will reach the border between Argentina and Chile at 10:00 and make the customs procedures. Then you make a stop in "Cerro Castillo" town. At 11:00 hs. you go on to the "Lago Sarmiento", where you stay there for a while to take photographs and to enjoy the amazing landscape. You arrive to "Laguna Amarga" and pay the entrance to the "Torres del Paine National Park" (not included). You go to the "Nordenskjol Lake", from where you are going to admire the imposing sight to the "Cuernos del Paine". Once you arrive to "Pudeto" you visit the "Salto Grande waterfall" where you do a trek. At 17:00, you leave the National Park and make 3 new stops at beautiful viewpoints where you can appreciate the "Paine Range". You arrive to Castillo Hill at 18:00 and come back to Calafate.

Day 14: Calafate-El Chalten

Breakfast. Check out in the morning. At 08:00, departure to El Chalten. Arrival and go on your own to your accommodation. Free day to trek the beautiful paths of Los Glaciares National Park and to take pictures of Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre.

Day 15: El Chalten

Free day to do self guided hikes. You can try Laguna de los Tres at the base of Mount Fitz Roy or Laguna Torre at the base of Cerro Torre.

Day 16: El Chalten-Bariloche

Check out. Free morning to relax or to do more self guided treks. Departure to Bariloche on a night bus.

Day 17: Bariloche

Arrival to Bariloche. Go on your own to your accommodation and check in.

Day 18: Bariloche

Breakfast. At 04:30, Mt Campanario and Circuito Chico Half Day excursion:
The tour starts in Bariloche along Bustillo Avenue with an amazing view of Lake Nahuel Huapi. Right at the km. 8 of the road you will find Playa Bonita, from where you can see Huemul Island. Later on, after traversing different landscapes, you will arrive at the foot of Mt. Campanario. There is a chairlift that visitors can use to get to the 1500mts of the hill. There is a tea room on top and also a terrace where you can admire one of the most complete and beautiful views of northern Patagonia. Returning to the tour along Bustillo Avenue, the bus enters San Pedro Peninsula. At the km. 23 of Bustillo Avenue you will reach Villa Llao Llao, site of the San Eduardo Chapel, a jewel of regional architecture and place of the magnificent Llao Llao hotel. From there the route goes through the Llao Llao Peninsula. After bordering Lake Escondido at km. 33, the road passes over Narrow Bridge Creek, that separates the Moreno Lake from Nahuel Huapi Lake. At km 40 you will reach the famous Panoramic Point of 945 meters high, where you can appreciate the majesty of the landscape that make up the Lake Moreno and the Llao Llao Peninsula.

Day 19: Bariloche

Breakfast. At around 09:00 hotel pick up to do the Isla Victoria y Bosque de Arrayanes Boat Trip:
During the tour you will have the unique chance to visit Victoria Island and the incredible Myrtle Forest (Arrayan Forest) - a place with all the exuberance typical of Patagonian plant life. The activity will depart from Bariloche, crossing by boat the Lake Nahuel Huapi to Victoria Island and Quetrihue Peninsula. Prepare to be blown away by the sights and lush vegetation of the area and the enormous Myrtus or Myrtle trees, that grow to an exceptional 18 meters, really making this forest one of a kind! The Victoria Island and Arrayanes Park tour begins at Puerto Pañuelo, from where you will climb aboard the comfortable boat to travel across Lake Nahuel Huapi towards Port Quetrihue. This is an area that includes the world’s only Arrayan Forest, with trees over 500 years old. You will be able to see the spectacularly tall myrtle tree forest while you walk along the National Park trails leading you through the ancient Arrayanes. The Isla Victoria boat tour will then take you to another port on the Victoria Island, Puerto Anchorena, where you will explore different pathways that offer incredible natural viewpoints of the Nahuel Huapi National Park where you’ll be able to observe rare native species of flora and fauna, making this tour a natural experience! Discover one of the world’s rarest forests and enjoy the exclusive Patagonian landscapes. The Victoria Island and Arrayanes Forest Tour will show you impressive views of the Southern Andes. Day 20: Bariloche-Buenos Aires

Day 21: Buenos Aires

Arrival to Buenos Aires in the afternoon. Check In. Free Day.
In the evening (20:00), Tango Show with dinner and transfers:
In the very heart of Buenos Aires, this refurbished historic "conventillo" is a classic building of the porteño culture. A Tango Show is a trip to older times. Professional artists will show you their best art, singing songs and dancing typical pieces, along with the best tango orchestras. The show consists of several parts in which you can appreciate 2 tango orchestras, a folkloric group, dancers and singers.

Day 22: Buenos Aires

Breakfast. Check out and airport drop-off.
