The Tara is one of the four beautiful whitewater rivers in Bosnia Herzegovina that offer professionally guided rafting tours. The Tara River ranks among Europe’s best for classes II-IV and our skippers who are certified by the International Rafting Federation will guide us throughout the rafting route.
This river rafting tour will pleasantly surprise you with its stunning wilderness and unforgettable landscapes. A jewel amongst the world’s natural heritage spots the Tara River boasts the largest canyon in Europe. The river follows the border with Montenegro and is 140 kilometers of natural wonder. The 1,300-meter canyon has created some of the best rafting and kayaking in Europe. This oasis and the protected area has a long tradition of extreme water sporting and easy activities out in the open that can accommodate a wide range of outdoor enthusiasts.

Full Day Tara River Rafting

Tara rafting experience with certified rafting skipper/river guide (3-4 hours)

Optional Overnight Add-On
While you can arrive in the morning of the rafting trip, we suggest that you head for Foča the afternoon before the trip and overnight on the banks of the Tara River. In that case, our package includes accommodation for one night in one of our bungalows next to the river as well as dinner and breakfast.

* NOTE: Please bring your passport since we’re crossing into Montenegro.

Start Times

On the day tour from Foca, the start time is at 09:30.
With an overnight at the camp, the start time is at 16:00.

If you choose the option with one night in Foca, your accommodation at Tara Rafting Camp is at simple wooden bungalows next to the river where you will enjoy the sound of water and the campfire - and definitely have one of the best nights on your Balkan adventure! The bungalows are basic and relatively small with 2-3 beds and bedding. Toilets and showers are shared.
