The Edinburgh Dungeon describes some of the most horrifying and dark events in the history of Edinburgh, including ”Burke & Hare”, two notorious murderers who killed only with the purpose to sell the corpses for dissection in medical schools, and”Witch-hunting in Scotland” – nowhere else in the world was the witch hunt more intense than in Scotland. During the 16th century, more than 4,000 ”witches” were burned at the stake.
