Prostitution Information Center (PIC)

In Amsterdam, sex work has a long and complex history, and through PIC, students have the opportunity to gain a realistic and informative insight into the topic. Here, students take part in an educational session about the laws and regulations surrounding sex work in the Netherlands, as well as how it operates in practice within the city. The session is led either by a sex worker or an expert in the field, both of whom share their personal experiences and professional knowledge. This visit offers a unique opportunity to understand sex work from a more human perspective, giving students insight into the social and political discourses surrounding the profession.
