This adventurous trip lets you witness the ancient Komodo dragon in its indigenous habitat, Komodo and Rinca Island. You will board on a boat and sail to the small islands scattered in Komodo National Park. Enjoy swimming, snorkelling, sun bathing, and relaxing in the crystal clear and white sandy beach. Guided by a ranger, you will hike to see the living giant lizards and its natural environment.
Itinerary

4 Day Komodo Package via Padar and Rinca

Day 1: Arrival Labuan Bajo

Make your own way from the airport to your accommodation.
The day is free once you have checked in to the hotel, and you can prepare for Komodo adventure the next day.

Accommodation:
Backpacker: Golo Hilltop or similar
Comfort: Puri Sari or similar

Day 2: Labuan Bajo via Rinca Island to Kalong Island

Pick up at Hotel in Labuan Bajo and transfer by boat to Rinca Island. It takes about 2 hours to sail to the island of Komodo Dragons. Treks on Rinca Island start from the ticket office at Loh Buaya to Waewaso and takes approximately 2 hours. This is the best opportunity to see dragons and their prey, pass the dragon nests and head out into the sunshine across an exposed savannah that is studded with lontar palms. You will also see a permanent waterhole in Waewaso and travel across steep, exposed slopes that offer breathtaking views. Proceed to Kalong island.

Day 3: Padar via Komodo Island and Bidadari island to Labuan Bajo

Early morning cruise to Padar island. Arrive in Padar and walk up to the top of Padar island, enjoying beautiful panoramic views of the island. Afterwards, head back to the boat and proceed to Komodo island. Arrive in Komodo and start a medium trek that takes about 1 1/2 hours. It passes a waterhole where the Timor deer and wild pigs often come to drink. Sometimes, dragons can be found there lying around and waiting.

You will climb Sulphurea Hill and Frigate Hill, where magnificent view across the islands, bays, and beaches await. Return to the boat and proceed to a pink beach. This peculiar beach gets its color from red coral fragments. It is definitely a great place to spend some time just relaxing, or enjoying the underwater world with your snorkeling equipment. Lunch on board and afternoon cruise to Bidadari island. Drop off at your accommodation in Labuan Bajo.
