The villa is located right on the beach called Sunzal, close to the town of El Tunco, also known as Surf City. At the camp, we offer spacious double rooms and one three-bedroom for our guests. We host up to 20 guests so you will have it nice and calm at the camp, far from the feeling you’d get at big hotels and resorts. Every room at the camp has a balcony with a view overlooking the dreamy waves. Each room is equipped with air-conditioning, comfortable beds and private baths.
We are located on the water´s edge which allows us to access the surf spots on foot.
There is WIFI in the house, which is free for everyone to use. The rooms will be cleaned on Monday and Friday. On these occasions, you will also get clean towels.
El Tunco is the closest town to the camp. The walking distance is 10 minutes from the beach. El Tunco has super chilled vibes and very high-security standards. Its streets are filled with restaurants, bars, and small shops. This is also the place you will be able to get anything surf related.
You can choose between shared 3-person rooms or private twin rooms.

General Information about the destination
Currency
El Salvador is mostly operating with US dollars. Be aware that US$50 and US$100 notes are generally not accepted in many smaller restaurants, bars, and shops, so we advise you to bring smaller notes with you. Regular ATMs are widely available particularly in San Salvador and La Libertad as well as in El Tunco. Remember to inform your bank of your travel plans before your travel to avoid your card being blocked.
Vaccinations
There are no necessary vaccinations for travelers going to El Salvador. However, feel free to contact your local medical provider to get more information regarding travels to Central American countries.
Visa
There is no need to apply for a visa before arrival. You will get it once you enter the country. Make sure to have the address of the camp on hand, because they will ask you for it at immigration.
Climate
El Salvador is a lovely place to visit throughout the year. The country has a tropical climate with warm weather and ample sunshine on most days. The year is divided into wet and dry seasons. The rainy season goes from April to October. For these months we recommend you to bring a raincoat. No need for any warm clothing.
Depending on the month the water temperature goes from 27-31°C. This means no need for a wetsuit! However, we strongly recommend you bring a rash guard and sunscreen to protect yourself from the strong sun.
Spots
El Sunzal is at our doorstep. It is the most consistent wave you will ever see and it provides us with waves all day, all year around. This wave is where our surf classes will be located most of the time, but also in our nearby spots: La Bocana, Punta Roca, El Zonte and K59 - all less than 10 km away.
