Right in the center of the city, you will find the impressive palace where the imperial family lived. The entire complex, which has been shaped by each monarch since the 1300s, now covers an area of about 240,000 m². There are 2,600 rooms, where about 5,000 people live and work today. Part of the palace is used by the Austrian government. Around 40 rooms are currently used as museum spaces. You will get an exciting tour where you can see, among other things, the silver collection, dresses, jewelry, and how Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth lived.
